Lums Pond State Park

Description:

 18 holes, fairly long, mostly in trees, double chains, cement block tee pads. Bring old discs! GOOD course.

Directions:

From I-95 take Rt.896 South. Brown signs for park will be in about 5.5 miles. More specific directions: follow 896 South through the intersection of Rt.40, about 1.5 miles after that watch for signs and turn left onto Howell School Rd. Park will be on your right. Follow park road until you are forced to turn right. Course starts in field opposite the park road.

Description of Individual Holes:

1) 388ft. Tee in open field, 2/3rds of distance is open field, the basket is in the woods.

2) 189ft. Mandatory dogleg hole. Anhyzer shot.

3) 269ft. Tee and basket in trees.

4) 417ft. Tee at the end of a 30ft wide open trail with the basket off to the left in the trees.

5) 271ft. Tee in trees, the fairway is open field going into trees again where the basket is.  Not a mando hole but really there is no other choice than going left to right.

6) 330ft. Tee in trees, shot is out over an open field going back into trees for the basket. There is a mandatory dogleg tree that is 15ft. away from tee. You must go to the right of the tree.

7) 183ft. Tee is in open field. The basket is buried in the trees.

8) 255ft. Tee is next to a treeline which is on your right.  The fairway is along the treeline. The hole is in the treeline about 25ft.

9) 346ft. Tee is in the woods at the bottom of an elongated "Z" shaped fairway (also in woods) going out to hole in open field.

10) 292ft. Tee is 30ft out in a field. The hole is buried deep within the woods to the left.

11) 303ft. Tee is out and perpendicular to pine trees planted in rows.  The hole is down one of these aisles so your throw has to go right to left.

12) 263ft. Straight shot but you have to weave your drive around multiple trees.

13) 299ft. Longish fairway (with trees) tailing left to right into a little alcove where the basket is.

14) 206ft. Your choice of hyzer or an to get out into open field. The basket is nestled behind a large bush.

15) 263ft. Pretty hole.  Tee is in open field. The fairway is in the trees as is the hole.

16) 415ft. Tee & basket in woods. First drive is straight then second is to the left.  The basket is just past a gully.

17) 270ft. In the woods.  Slightly uphill.

18) 216ft. One large tree in fairway and overhanging branches 2/3 of the way down going to tee out in a field.
