About Russ Kirkman

I now reside in Maryland on the outskirts of Washington, DC.  In 1999 I became to look upon photography as more of a hobby than just taking snapshots (like I used to do) because of a friend, who shall remain nameless, kept prodding me to take it more seriously.  Let me take this time to say hi to a friend, "Hi Cathy!"

In 2000, I traveled a lot for my "real" job and before I left, I bought a digital camera.  I then really fell in love with photography because I could instantly delete any picture that I didn't like :)  In January, 2002 I got a new digital camera, a Canon D30, which I'm still enjoying.
